Selection process for the NDA exam
Since the selection process is carried out by UPSC, it is divided into two phases.
1. The written exam consists of a mathematical exam and a general exam with a total of 900 points.
2. SSB Interview involves the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence or Personality Test which comprises 900 marks.
Physical Standards for NDA Entrance
The applicant willing to appear for this exam must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy.
Medical Examination
After clearing the written entrance exam, all successful applicants need to go for a comprehensive medical test after the SSB process.
Merit List
A final merit list is declared by UPSC depending on the number of seats available for the particular session after qualifying the medical examination. Combined Defense Service (CDS) Examination
The full name of the CDS is “Combined Defense Services”. This is the nationwide competitive exam for placement in the Indian Army, Officer Training Academy, Indian Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy. The CDS is managed by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSE). CDS follows the rules and regulations to complete the entire process. It is mainly taken twice a year. Degrees from an accredited university with a background in physics and mathematics based on the 10+2 model or a Bachelor of Engineering from the Air Force Academy.
Applicants who are completing the last year of their studies or who are looking for another final exam can also apply. These candidates must prove that they have passed the basic qualification test on the date that will be specified in the call for the Meeting.

Between 20 to 24 years at the time of starting of the course
For candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA) the upper age limit has been relaxed to 26 years
Minimum score of 60% in both Mathematics & Physics in 12th grade
Minimum score of 60% for Graduates in any discipline from any recognized University OR BE/B/Tech (4 year course) with a minimum score of 60% from any recognized University
Should have cleared section A & B examination conducted by Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India
Students from Final Year are also eligible to apply, provided, they do not have any backlog at the time of AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) Testing and are able to produce the required Degrees Certificates as per the stipulated dates
Minimum Height of 162.5 cms (5.33 ft) with corresponding weight
Minimum Vision of 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye

Army Physical Test
